A Level - Design & Technology: Design Engineering

Low-voltage designer lighting project

Overview: The students are required to design, develop and prototype a low voltage lighting product.  They will investigate recent developments in lighting technology and consider how they can incorporate these new concepts into their own product.  Throughout the project the students will learn about the importance of experimentation, modelling and testing as they develop their design.  They will refine their chosen design solution through on-going evaluation, modification and re-modelling before producing a final prototype.
